Nan, thanks so much for keeping me up-to-date on the “Hawaain” family! I get such a kick out of seeing Quentin grow! My friend David and I are planning to take our trawler up from Washington, Puget Sound area, to Alaska next summer. Hope to be seeing some of those wonderful sights that you and Neil saw!

It is nice to have the variety of tropical fruit here. i do miss apricots and cherries. We do have them shipped in here summer, but we are busy enjoying mangoes so don’t buy many.

My friends on the Big Island planted pineapples in their back yard when they moved there in 1999. They only plant the white pineapples. People on the Mainland think yellow is the only kind of pineapple. The White ones are better!
